Our fun and engaging classes for kids are designed to introduce them to the world of dance and help them develop coordination, rhythm, and self-expression. This class features Creative Movement and basic technique with tap and ballet. Students will enjoy princess and superhero freeze dance and movement games, all while listening to fun and upbeat music.
This class features basic acrobatic skills as well as classic jazz dance. Students will enjoy a high energy class with fun music as well as introduction to skills such as forward rolls, handstands, bridges and more!
This class is designed to be developmentally appropriate for the 5-year-old dance student, capture their attention and inspire the love of dance. This class will continue to build on the foundations of tap, ballet, and jazz technique.
This class will introduce and build upon basic acrobatic skills and technique such as forward rolls, shoulder rolls, handstands, cartwheels and bridges. We will also be introducing the lyrical style of dance which will focus on jazz and ballet technique and work on story telling through movement.
This class is a high-energy style of dance that’s performed to street or funk music. Class will include a warm-up, isolations, across the floor, and an introduction to stalls and freezes.
Hip Hop is an upbeat urban style of dance that is forever changing and evolving. This energetic class will focus on musicality and rhythm. Classes will include a warm-up, isolations, freezes/stalls, and choreography.
Tap is an American style dance where students perform percussive footwork and precise rhythmic patterns. We build our classes on basic technique and rhythm patterns. As the student progresses, more intricate percussive patterns and combinations will be introduced.
Jazz and Musical Theatre dance emphasize a variety of movement styles from high energy to funky to character and acting. These classes will focus on body line, precision, flexibility, isolations, and classical jazz technique. All levels of classes will include a proper warm up, stretches, isolations, across-the-floor progressions, and various choreography combinations.
Lyrical dance is an interpretive and expressive style of dance with the technique rooted in ballet and jazz. Acrobatics (Acro) focuses on flexibility, balance, strength, and coordination. Students will begin with basic technique in lyrical and acro and will progress to more advanced skills as they practice and improve.
Ballet is a traditional style of dance that helps the dancers to develop technique, discipline, and structure that is essential to many forms of dance such as jazz and lyrical. In these classes, we will focus on proper ballet technique as well as alignment and flexibility.
This class is for the intermediate/advanced jazz dancer and will focus solely on the technique behind pirouettes, fouettes, leaps, jumps and combinations of these skills. We will work on strength training to help in balances, leg extensions and jump height. As the students’ progress they will learn more complicated leap and turn combinations.
For dancers with extensive ballet training. Pointe is where the dancer supports all body weight on the tips of fully extended feet. Invited students will learn and practice pointe work at the barre and will focus on correct foot and body alignment. To participate in the Pointe class, students must demonstrate the strength required for pointe shoes.
