At SDC, our goal is to instill a passion for performing rather than merely the desire to win awards. We want to teach the kids life skills such as time management, teamwork, responsibility, and integrity. We encourage our company members to work hard in their classes and rehearsals, so when they take the stage, they are confident and know they are performing their best!
Group Auditions
We will be holding team auditions during our two summer sessions.
The first audition will take place on Saturday, June 22nd from 4 pm to 6 pm. This audition will be taken like a class and is meant to see who is interested in the teams and how everyone dances together. If you are unable to attend this audition, a second audition will take place on Saturday, August 10th from 1 pm to 3 pm.
Cost of Competition Team
The competition team rehearsal costs will be $50/month per team. Anyone interested in signing up for a solo will be charged $50/hour for rehearsal, Duets will be $40/dancer per rehearsal hour, and trios will be $30/dancer per rehearsal hour.
For anyone that signs up and commits to the competition team for the 2024-25 season, before June 21st (even if you plan to audition on August 10th), will receive a $10 discount on all teams, solo, duet, and trio rehearsals for the remainder of the season. (Example: if the dancer is on one group competition team and a solo, they will be charged $40/month for the group and $40 for the solo instead of $50 each.)
Additional entrance fees for competitions will be required for participation on the competition team.
Solo / Duo / Trio Appointment Reservation
To sign up for a solo rehearsal, visit the parent portal and make an appointment for your desired time. For duets, each dancer must sign on to the parent portal and reserve back-to-back 30-minute slots (Example: Dancer A signs up for a 3:00 pm slot, and Dancer B must sign up for the 3:30 slot). For trios, dancers must sign up for back-to-back 20-minute slots. If there are any questions, please talk to the front desk for assistance.
When we get closer to performing at competitions, additional rehearsals may be required. SDC will give the team one month's notice before a mandatory extra rehearsal will be added. Any additional rehearsals will require an additional $10 charge to the competition team tuition.
